ABOUT
Certificate III in Barbering (SHB30516)
The Certificate III in Barbering will provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively pursue work as a qualified Barber. You can opt to fast track training as a full time, institutional based student or couple training and work with an apprenticeship.
The CJE delivery of this course is unique for institutional, full-time students as it fast tracks learning while maintaining the highest standards in technical excellence and includes an extended hands on experience component. This unique approach provides students with additional practical experience and ensures they are industry ready, and ready to work when they graduate.
The Apprentice Training Program enables students to undertake training in conjunction with employment. This competency-based training places the emphasis on interaction between the salon/barber shop owner, apprentice and educators and provides an opportunity to ‘earn and learn’.
This course includes all of the core skills of Hairdressing with specialist training in barbering skills such as classic haircuts, scissor and clipper over comb techniques, beard sculpting, head and face shaving and men’s grooming.
Successful students will graduate with a nationally recognised qualification which can be used to seek employment as a Qualified Barber.
