What are VET in School Courses?
Vocational Education and Training in Schools (VET in Schools) courses are undertaken by students as part of the senior secondary certificate/high school studies.
Who can study a Vet in Schools course?
Courses are available to students studying year 10, 11 and 12.
How are Vet in Schools Courses structured?
Students spend most of their week studying at secondary school and generally 1 day undertaking hairdressing/makeup training at our CBD campus. If undertaking a school-based hairdressing apprenticeship, will also spend a set number of hours in your salon. The days and times students attend the Academy/Salon are dependent on the course and method of training selected.
Does the hair/makeup course count towards SACE points?
For most VET courses, students will earn SACE points to go towards their South Australian Certificate of Education. The amount of points available for each course is outlined on the course page brochures – which you can view by clicking on the course name below.
